Improvising means dealing with whatever arises in the moment, without preparation, being ok with making mistakes. It’s about creativity, co-creation, spontaneity, and it can be funny, although it doesn’t have to be.
This is not a standard improv comedy workshop. It will build on the same principles, like ‘Yes, And’. And we will slow down more, trust our bodies, see what happens when we lean less on the words. We will make it Relateful.
The funny is in the truth. And the truth is right here, right now. You don’t have to make anything up. Don’t be original, be real!
We will do lots of different exercises in dyads/triads and the whole group. Some verbal, some non-verbal, some comedic and others more poetic/theatrical. We will make as much use of our bodies as Zoom allows. You can always opt-out or do things the way they feel good to you, no one will be put on the spot unless you want to ;)
Relateful as we are, we will also include time to be with and share impact.
Come join this workshop whether you’ve done improv before or not. Expect aliveness, connection and joy.
