Hosted by Michael Blas and Gillian Grassie
There are more improbable things happening right now than probable ones. We just don’t usually notice them. Habit flattens mystery. Language keeps us safe. Domains—psychological, social, spiritual, practical—are useful until they become walls. This immersion is an invitation to sense the seam between those domains; the place where the ordinary suddenly stops behaving like it’s supposed to, and something intimate, alive, and quietly divine leaks through. Think of it like finding the edge of some tape that you want to use. Scratch, scratch, “Oh, there it is!”
On March 6th in LA, we’ll practice crossing that seam together. Not by trying to be profound, but by letting go of the ways we protect ourselves from it. We’ll start in the mundane—bodies in a room, voices, attention, discomfort, humor—and notice how quickly it opens when we stop insisting on the right frame. The profound doesn’t require belief; it requires contact. It shows up when we surrender the domains we’ve been guarding and allow experience to reorganize us from the inside.
This immersion isn’t about peak states or performance. It’s about learning the reliable pathway from “nothing special is happening” to “something true is happening right now.” We’ll use relational practices, presence, and precise attention to let improbability reveal itself—not as spectacle, but as intimacy. If you’ve felt the divine hiding inside the banal, if you’ve sensed that reality is closer and stranger than we’re taught to admit, this is a space designed to help you step across that seam—together, gently, and for real.
What’s Relatefulness?
If mindfulness is the cultivation of awareness, Relatefulness is the cultivation of awareness interpersonally.
For 2.5 days, we engage in a living, breathing practice—one that reveals how much of you is includable, how much of you is needed. Through a dynamic, evolving flow of presence, we co-create the space together, uncovering new dimensions of autonomy, interdependence, and self-trust.
This weekend will include structured exercises, spontaneous practices, and extended Flow sessions. Flow is a practice stemming from Encounter Groups. It can look structureless—which can feel intense for some—or it can feel as natural as seeing an old friend. In daily life, we rely on countless unspoken conversational norms that masquerade as politeness, turn-taking, or invisible rules about what’s “okay” to express. Flow doesn’t set out to upend these norms, but it does reveal how our assumptions about connection shape our lived experience.
There are no explicit rules, but you’ll notice people’s cultural habits forming clusters of behavior that feel like rules. Through longer warm-up exercises, we explore how structure and free-flowing presence are not opposites, but partners.
Who Is This For?
- If you’ve ever wondered what it would feel like to move beyond what you think freedom is, this is for you.
- If you long for connection that isn’t contrived—something deeper than words, something that breathes—you belong here.
- If you’re ready to pioneer the edges of your own awareness, this is your space.
What to Expect
- In-the-moment feedback on what it’s like to be together.
- Appreciation for what we collectively create.
- Empowerment to contribute, interrupt, and lead within the space.
The benefits of this practice are innumerable. Whether you’re navigating family dynamics, feeling alone in a crowd, or deepening your ability to engage with Love and Truth, Flow fosters a natural ease with expression, listening, and being seen.
Expect the unexpected.
Expect to be met.
Expect to meet yourself in ways you couldn’t alone.
And if it all feels like too much? Interrupt. Interject. Take the space you need.
Because this isn’t a performance. It’s participation.
