About Kara
Kara walks with a deep attunement to the subtle wisdom that moves within and between us — through systems, through kinship, through the quiet tectonics of personal becoming. She doesn’t "hold space" so much as midwife it; a hearth – tender, gently tending the slow burn of relational transformation.
Over twelve years of walking with families, teams, and systems, Kara has become known not for imposing clarity, but for listening until it emerges. From direct care to her role as VP of Operations, she has guided people and systems toward more coherence, courage, and care — not through control, but through trust.
She’s also a former birth doula, Instinctive Feng Shui practitioner, and Organic Intelligence® coach — modalities that don’t fix or force, but honor what wants to unfold. As a Relatefulness facilitator in Tucson, AZ, she invites others into presence that is less about performing connection and more about sensing the invisible threads that are already here.

Have you made any contributions to society or a community, that you feel proud of?
For the past 12 years, I’ve worked in the child welfare and juvenile justice field, both directly with kids and families and in leadership roles. This work has shaped my heart in ways I would never want to change.
What are your areas of expertise/research interests within the self-development/awareness context?
I’m currently enamored by our nervous systems and the innate, enormous power that lives both subtly and loudly within us. What happens when we learn to listen to and follow that wisdom as it emerges in the moment?
Do you have any children or pets?
2 cats, River and Mae. I also have a group of community cats (shout out to Romeo, Juliet, Sweetheart, Cutie, Minnie, Athena, Tony, Ember, Ash, Shadow, Oreo, Simba) that I love and care for as my own which just makes my home even more like heaven.
Are there any causes or charities that are important to you?
Anything to do with cats. I fostered cats for a few years which was the ultimate opportunity to explore how to love fully even though loss was certain. This shaped who I am today.
Is there something fun or unexpected about you that you’d like to share with the world?
Olympic weightlifting (snatch and clean & jerk) is one of my loves and has had my heart for the past 5 years. It’s so much more than just a workout for me, it’s a practice of seeming paradoxes: Love/failure, strength/letting go, technique/surrender.
