About Mercedes

As a teenager, I wanted to understand how the universe works. To that end, I went into Physics, only to discover that most scientists have a very limited perspective of reality. After grad school, I took a hard left and went to India to study yoga and meditation. This opened my eyes to the reality of energies and phenomena beyond what could be measured by physical instruments, and led me down a path of spirituality and mysticism. 

All the while, I was in a challenging marriage that I naively believed just needed better communication. So we learned Nonviolent Communication - which I promptly weaponized! We fumbled through the next few years until I attended a holistic festival in 2017 and was introduced to Integral Circling and the Bio-Emotive Framework. With these revelatory practices, I dove into “working on myself” as though there was something wrong with me that needed to be fixed. I joined Level Up in 2021 and gradually started to believe, at least cognitively, that I’m already okay. Experientially, integrating this okayness into my nervous system, relationships, and life context, remains a daily practice!

Joining The Relateful Company as a facilitator satisfies a years long vision to work with an organization dedicated to increasing consciousness and relational healing around the world. I’m deeply honoured and grateful for the opportunity to evolve my own relatefulness while supporting others to explore their relationships to life, the universe and everything.
