What is Success? Purpose alignment? 🤾

At a recent dinner party someone asked what our definitions of success are. What do you think? Here’s a work-in-progress: Success is alignment with our unique calling at any given moment. There’s a sense of “living your purpose” where what you're good at lines up with what you're passionate about lines up with what’s needed. And what’s needed tends to be transcendent, like beauty or truth or goodness. From the inside it feels like living in flow, continuously adjusting to stay in the alignment pocket.

I like this “purpose alignment” definition because it’s personal and impersonal, and acknowledges that your unique gift changes over time while including what’s come before (including any resistance and 'failure' as learning). A sapling grows into a tree in honor of it becoming what it’s meant to be. The universe expands, the perfectly-whole present-moment encompasses the whole of the past from the Big Bang until now and builds upon it into something new.

With love, Jordan
