Yes. It is different, but our community consistently reports that online sessions can even be more meaningful and connected than an in-person experience. From participants:

Of course, there are some drawbacks:

• No physical touch
• Only see shoulders up
• Harder to incorporate movement
• Little access after a session is over

We use Zoom, which allows participants to breakout into small group video chats, rejoin the main group, and break out again, based on what’s most alive in the moment. We can also run “noticing games” and other practice exercises in pairs, triads, and quads.

Our experience shows that online sessions can even be more meaningful and connected than an in-person experience.

A few simple guidelines will also help the experience:

• Instead of saying “you,” make sure to use someone’s name so they know who you are talking to
• Mute yourself when you’re not talking if there’s a lot of background noise (dogs, people, wind, etc)
• Make sure your computer has battery—plug it in, so you don’t get cut off in the middle of an important moment
• Moving your body is wonderful, but mute your video is you're going to move your device. 
• You can "pin" the person’s face you are most interested in viewing, or you can set your display to show everyone at once in Gallery Mode. For more technical information, please browse the Zoom Support Site.

Yes.

We recommend that you start with an intro event, and attend Fundamentals sessions until you feel comfortable. The natural progression is to then move to Focus Sessions, and finally experiment with Flow Sessions.

In order to make your Relateful experience as meaningful and easy as possible, you'll need to make sure you've got a few things figured out with your technology. It's best to take care of this well before the event!

Requirements:

• Zoom meeting requirements
• Microphone
• Video camera
• Decent wifi connection

My video/camera isn't working.

There is echo in my meeting.
Echo can be caused by many things, such as a participant connected to the meeting audio on multiple devices or two participants joined in from the same local. Learn about common causes of audio echo.

You can always try to restart the application, and then restart your computer and rejoin the event.

The Relateful Company facilitators are certified to lead a Focus session and to represent the basics of the Relateful paradigm. This certification is consistent with Circling trainings worldwide.

All facilitators on the platform are also certified to lead Flow sessions with a co-lead. 

All our leaders certified originally in at least one 6 month intensive Circling leadership training program; almost all of them have gone on to train others in Circling & Relatefulness through similar programs. They have received continuous leadership since becoming a facilitator; participants get to witness some aspects of this training when we bring on a new "FiT" Cohort (Facilitators in Training) and host sessions with feedback at the end.
